I know this is not how blogging is supposed to work...

but....scroll down because i just posted like 8 new posts. I just want to make sure that people see them all if i am going to take the time to do them. And dont worry i worked on taking more pictures this time. Enjoy! :)

Pumpkin Frenzy!

I LOVE carving pumpkins in the fall. It has been a long time family tradition and i enjoy it so much. First picking the perfect pumkin, then watching Erik gut it for me(this is why i needed to get married), next picking out the perfect pattern/design, taking some cute pictures and last displaying it on the porch for all to see. So great! This year was no diffrent. We had a blast carving our pumpkins and being with the family.

For Erik:

Here is my Birthday present for Erik. I embroidered his favorite scripture and framed it. This was really simple but nearly brought him to tears when he opened it. He is not much for presents and I never know's what he wants so this is the only thing i thought of and it turned out to be the perfect gift. It really meant a lot to him which made me feel good since i had put a lot of time and effort into it. I love the way it turned out and i love how happy it made Erik. It's nice to have something of a family motto to now hang in our home and remind us what we are striving for.

My Birthday Boy!

Erik's Birthday was on the 18th. It was a quiet and small birthday...nothing to exciting but i think he had a good time and got some great gifts. We kind of celebrated 3 diffrent times. First Erik's mom came out to visit a little before his birthday. We went out to eat at the Chef's Table which was really nice. She got Erik some nice things including some much needed new jeans. Then on his birthday Erik and I went out to Tucanos Brazillian Grill. WE LOVE this place. It is so yummy. Then we did one of Erik's favorite things...we went to a bookstore and sat and read some books. Then we went home and stuffed our faces with cake. (this is how you get to eat it when there is just the 2 of you!) We then watched Far and Away with Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman...such a great movie. Love it! Then on sunday we celebrated Erik's Birthday with my family. He got a great gift...a pair of clippers and scissors for me to cut his hair! YAY! My mom has been teaching me how to cut Erik's hair...and now i have my own tools. (i dont know if the gift was more for me or him!) I hope Erik had a great Birthday. He deserves it. He is so amazing and i love him so much. Happy Birthday Erik!

FREE!!!!

So as some of you know i have become quite the bargain shopper lately. I love looking for deals, clipping coupons...and really all my succsus i owe to my friend Jen. She calls me like every other day telling me what stores i should go to to get what deals and where to find the right coupons etc. I LOVE IT!!! (and her!) It's been so fun and really helped us cut down our budget. After 2 years of marriage i have finally learned a little bit of how to grocery shop right and be frugal. So in the past month here is everything that i have got absolutly free.

(ok i had to pay a little tax...but still!) So at Walgreens and Rite Aids each month or week they have items that you buy and then send in a rebate online and get your money back. It's great! And then we also use coupons on those items sometimes so even if we dont know what the stuff is or really need it we get it because we are getting paid to take it. It's so fun! I get the thrill of like robbing a bank! i feel like i am ripping them off...but it's completly legal!

So yesterday Jen called me about this deal on soda pop...buy 10 at $1 each them at the register it prints out a mail in rebate coupon and you get $10 back. So i went and bought 30 bottles of soda for me and my mom and my aunt. It was great! I paid 90 cents for 30 2 liter bottles of soda.

Anyway...it's a little time consuming and i can see how it would be hard to do with lots of little kids but if you are looking to save some money with everything happening in the economy right now it's really helpful and i think fun! Just look out for walgreen and rite aid aids and there "free rebates"

Lovin my Skinny Jeans!

So i went for it and got myself a pair of skinny jeans!! (Yay!) I know you are all so excited! So here are some pictures of myself with them on. And i dont care if you like them or not (my mom hates them) because I LOVE THEM! They are soo comfy and cute. You can pull them off with some cute flats or with some cozy boots. I am a big fan.

"Give Thanks"

Over Confrence weekend I made this....

I really like embriordiary i have decided. This was fun to make and now makes a cute little decoration for the fall season in my house. (props to Jen for all her guidance!)

BYU Game

A few weeks ago we went to a BYU football game. We were lucky enough to get some tickets from some friends, since this year we didnt buy the all sports pass. It was fun to get in all your byu gear and bundle up and watch the game. I do admit that i got my fill though and i was glad we didnt buy passes this year. I enjoy watching at my nice warm house getting to SIT on a nice couch and not having to listen to crazy fans. Erik's mom was in town so we took her and had a good time. We asked Erik's mom to take a picture and this is what we gotthat's the top of Erik's head in the bottom right hand corner...i think. Oh well!
So we took some up close take yourself ugly pictures as proof. It was fun!

Follow up Question

So below i made a post about skinny jeans. I was wondering if a married could pull them off. Many of you responded that i could pull them off. So my next question for all you fashion experts out there would be this. I feel like if i buy and wear something trendy like skinny jeans that i have to keep that up everyday of the week. I feel like i cant be all trendy and cute one day and then the next show up in my clothes that still fit me from like 3 years ago. So can you switch back and forth? Can you be trendy and not at the same time? I feel like if i wore skinny jeans one day people would think "why is that wearing those...that is not her style at all!" Can you mix up your style? Can i look like a classy argyle sweater preppy one day and then trendy emo chick the next?

p.s. i swear i dont obsess that much about what i wear or what poeple think of me i am just curiuos. Dont worry!

Pictures of my Pictures

Here are some of the pictures i have taken and developed for my photography class. What do you think? Keep in mind these are my first rolls ever and i don't have a scanner so i had to take pictures with my digital camera of the pictures i took with a film camera for this class. So there is a bit of a glare from the flash on a few of them. I am really enjoying the class. I feel a little like a retard since most of the students in there have taken some photography classes before. But i am slowly getting the hang out of it. I think the hardest part for me is learning to take pictures of more things that my cute little brother and sister. I would much rather take pictures of cute kids than a mountain. But, it's good for my to practice with all types of photography and to broaden my horizons. I think developing the pictures are really fun...but i am not very patient and it takes a long time so i am glad for the invention of the digital camera. I look forward to learning more. So here you are...enjoy...critique.
