The Post title of the day I'm sure: "TWiLIGHT"

Tonight a really great friend of mine and I went to see the much anticipated Twilight movie together. Rachel (the really great friend) and i have been together from the beginning of out Twilight saga. I made her read the books with me at the cabin...we went to the bookstore the night of the release of breaking dawn....and now the movie together. (pictures below...dedicated to her! haha)

I have to say that for a movie of a really great book...it was pretty darn good. Of course of course nothing can ever compare to the book and the first 20 min of the movie you spend thinking nope that's not what he looked like...nope thats not what the house looked like...nope this and that is wrong...but that settles in and it turned out to be a pretty good movie. I think they did a fairly good job with the plot compared to the book. I would recommend seeing it...only if your a twilight fan. I know if i brought Erik or my mother or anyone who hasn't read the book and doesn't get it...they would be laughing at it the whole time. Understandably because for some reason what's very very laughably cheesy on the screen is so amazingly not cheesy in book. ( either that or i am just a sucker for cheesy books!) But hey...i know i am not the only one that loved these books! ;)
So hey go see it! Oh- and that scrawny creepy looks nothing like "my" Edward boy in the movie trailer...definitely grows on you...a lot! ;) For some reason our stupid movie theatre had no posters or anything up for the movie but me and Rach really wanted a picture...so we asked someone to take one outside the theatre...i know major dorks. thanks for a fun date Rachy! p.s. we miss you Alicia! Have you seen it yet??
Twilight memories:
You cant really see but we got "kissed"by Edward. Yes i let some bookstore cashier come wipe glitter on my cheek to pretend i got kissed by a vampire. I think i might be crazy.

You get what you pay for.

So first time cutting Erik's hair on my own with practically no help from my mother. Pretty darn good right??
Until.....
WUPS! Let's look a little closer....
SORRY HUNNIE!!! :(
Haha... Erik was very forgiving of the nice chunk i took out of his lovly hair. My mom says everyone has got to do it once..so hopefully i got it over with. I say you get what you pay for. My grandpa used to say the only diffrence between a bad haircut and a good haircut is 3 days. So hurry up hair and grow!!

The Party Girl

So i am a nanny for a family in Alpine Utah and i love them dearly. They have a daughter who recently turned 10 and her mother asked me to throw the party for her. So i went all out. It was a sleepover party and we had a blast! I planned all the games, did the decorations, set up, did food...and THIS CAKE!
It turned out better than i could have ever imagined. It kinda looks like the picture. The birthday girl really wanted this cake so i spent the 5 hours to make it perfect. It was really fun. The party was aweosme i had some great games (i will try to get some pictures to put up later) and all the girls said it was the best party ever. The mothers also said i was a natural and should do this as a job. It really got me thinking and i just might. What do you think? I already know tons of families in Alpine i could just try it..send out some flyers make a blog of past parties and experience. I also threw the mother of this family a suprise 80's birthday party which was also a huge hit and i got tons of compliments for (pictures below). So i think i could do this. And it's something i LOVE!! Give me your thoughts and ideas and tell me how impressed you are with my cake. haha. I was pretty proud! :)
Here are some pics from the 80's party. All over the walls are 80's stars and notice the 80's food.

Vegas Baby!

Erik had a dental school interview at UNLV at the same time as one of his buddies so we went down with them for a few days to party in Vegas! We had a blast...we laughed...we sang...and some of us...even CRIED!!

Yep this is a very embarrassing picture of me but it is just too good not to share. Right now i am on top of this building being shot up in the air in some ride people call fun.

Yes i was crying and screaming at the ride attendants like a crazy person. Am i glad i did it...yes, would i do it again...NO.

Erik and our Friends also did this other ride on top of the Stratosphere...i refused. Here is what the ride looks like and here they are ready to go on it. haha

We also saw all the sights in Vegas. I had my crappy Camera so i didnt get very good pictures. Here are a few. We also went to a show where people got hypnotized which was hilarious! We had a really good time with Lindsay and Tony. Thanks guys!

I'm a Barbie Girl, in a Barbie World!

For Haloween Erik and I were Barbie and Ken. It was very fun. We took Gracie and Isaac around and we actually got a pretty nice stash of Candy ourselves. After about 1 hour the kids were crying because they wanted to go home...Gracie was tired and Isaac was sweating in his Tigger outfit. I made them keep going a little longer to get more candy. They will forgive me when they still have candy to eat in december. Here are some Pics.

I told Erik to try to look like a doll...and this is the face he gives me....thanks!: )

Tigger: "Nikki My Head is Wet!" (sweating while the drill sargent forces them to keep moving!)

Side Story: A little background on "Ken" Aka: Erik. So in High School when i had a major crush on the major cute and cool Erik Fox my friends and i came up with a code name to call him when we were talking about him. (ofcourse we couldnt use Erik...to obvious..people would know even more that i really did like him) So we decided he looked like a perfect little Ken Barbie doll. So his code name was Ken. Well somehow this got back to my little brothers and one day at church they walked up to "Ken" aka: Erik and said "My Sister thinks you look like a Ken Barbie Doll...she thinks your HOT!" Yep...then i crawled under a rock and stayed there for the next month...got over it and hey i won him in the end! haha. So kinda ironic.
