Big Belly?

Does my brother's belly make me look fa..SKINNY?!!?! grrr. Isaac keeps reminding me every day- "Your belly is ALMOST as big as daddy's now!" Thanks Isaac, from both me and dad.
Sorry for the lack in posts. I am trying to not waste anytime I have here with my family. So far we are enjoying every second of it! I love just hanging around the house all day(which I do all the time) but this time with people around me. I am scared to go back home in a week and a 1/2-I will be sooo lonely!
Anyway, back to the belly (or lack there-of) I am trying to be grateful that I am still so small, everyone says to enjoy it while I can, but Is this weird that I am half way through pregnancy-20 weeks!! woo woo! (almost) and I just look like I ate a little too much for dinner? uggh! I want a belly like Isaac's! I can't belive that if I hadn't already told people I could probably still be fooling them. I mean what I am wearing above is a tightish shirt people!!! Crazy. After I eat a large meal I do have to unbutton my jeans though. (wahoo!) I do feel bigger in my hip, butt area. I know you can't tell but I feel wider kinda everywhere. Just nothing to really call a belly! :(
I love how fascinated Isaac and Gracie are with this baby in my tummy. Everytime I eat something Isaac say's "I bet baby Lucy really likes that!" Or when we are watching a movie "Does baby Lucy like this movie?" haha. I love it! She is real now. She is our sweet Lucile, my little Lucy. I just wish she would grow a little faster! ;)

Sidenotes: I have already gotten a few little gifts from friends-i love oooing and ahhhing over the adorbale little girl stuff. But I have yet to make a purchase myself (are'nt you proud of me?) Well I did go to JoAnn Fabrics the other day. I have decided I am going to make Lucile a baby quilt to go in her room on her crib, or maybe hang on the wall (we will see how good it turns out.) I am really scared and I have no idea what I am doing. So when Erik and I went to JoAnns to pick out fabric for it we spent, are you ready for this- 2 1/2 HOURS in the store!!!! Just picking fabrics and figuring out the measurments, yardage, etc. And my husband never complained a word. I love him! My family mocked him when we got home. (rude)
Oh and if you are wondering-Yes we have officially decided to name our little girl Lucile. My grandmother's name is Lucile and her birthday is in May. Our baby will also be born in May and we adore the name Lucy. Now I know that we have some Lucy/Lucile's already in the huge Jewkes family, but I don't care, and I hope you don't either. I have loved this name for years now and we are going with it. We haven't settled on a middle name yet, but yes she will have one, she will not be a deprived child like I was-middle name less.

sorry this post got soo long-back to playing with the family! Oh I love the Holidays! Merry Christmas everyone!!!

It's A.....

GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I couldn't think of a creative little title) So there you have it! We are so so so excited! It's just what I wanted! Our pictures are really crappy....because this was just our doctor taking a little peek for us. We will get better pics at the 20 week appointement in a few weeks. That's when I will get measurements and all that. But, the baby looks healthy, happy and is a sweet little girl.

Let the shopping begin! Pink here I come!!!!

It's Beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Well...not exactly outside! But inside our house it is definitely the most wonderful time of the year! Can you believe these bulbs I planted in October? They were not supposed to come up until next spring! Crazy! My neighbors are all teasing me! So it has been in the 40's, 50's and even 60's these past few weeks. Not exactly December weather, but I will take it!
Here are some of my favorite Christmas decorations. I bought our first Nutcracker this year, which really excites me! And I also made the "What Child is This" sign new for this year. I am also excited about having 3 stockings this year! ;) Oh-and gotta love my Kohl's candle string buy from after Christmas last year...$7.00!!!
We attended our Ward Christmas party last Sat. It was really well done. It was fun to dress up, eat some yummy food, dance and enjoy singing some Christmas hymns. I bought this dress specificaly for the party and it's my first maternity dress! yay! Therefore you can't see any bump. (the little one that there is.) I really like it though!

This is me with another first year dental wife Emily. I love her, and her adorable kids.
Here is Erik with his 1st year buddies! A few are missing. But basically these are already Erik's new best friends for the next 4 years!
And here are the ladies! woo woo! Some 1st year wifes. (again a few missing) It's so great to already have so many great friends. We look forward to the next 4 years filled with fun memories!
Last Friday we went into downtown Richmond for a Holiday Lighting celebration. It was really fun to finally get to bundle up and walk around outside with the lights and the crowds. We went with our friends the Laytons. Here they are with there adorable little Elf boy.
Our Turn!
There other adorable child sleeping.
Us right in the light action! (notice Erik's light jacket and my heavy duty coat, scarf, gloves. haha! I'm such a baby!) Look what I made today? Cute huh? I thought I could give these out as little gifts. I got my idea here. If I were to do it again I would do the white hand sanitizer bottles and clear stickers. But I still think they are still fun. Here is the note I thought I would accompany with them.
May you feel the "purifying" love of Christ this Christmas Season.
So imagine I just dropped one of these at each of your doors. Yay! Merry Christmas! We go to Utah on Sat. Can't wait! :)

In One Week and One Hour...

From when this has been posted Erik and I will be at the Dr. Office for an Ultrasound to determine the sex of our baby!!!!!!!! AHHHH!!! I am so so excited. I can't wait! Oh that will make me so happy. In fact since Erik and I leave the next day to go to Utah for 2 1/2 weeks we decided to have our little family's christmas next friday. Because I am pretty sure neither of us will be able to sleep on Thursday night, so it will feel like christmas eve when you are a kid. Finding out what our little baby will be is going to be the best present ever! I am so glad to have an awesome doctor who is letting us take a peek a little early (18 weeks) since we won't return from Utah until I am about 21 weeks. So the reason for this post is to let the guessing begin! I am going with a girl. But It is really just wishful thinking and nothing to do with intuition.

Also- little update. This week has been MUCH MUCH better. As long as I keep a little food in me constantly (ie: Clementines=love) then I am great! I have more energy and have been feeling good. I even went to a Yoga class 3 times this week and LOVED it. It was harder than I thought and at times I had to walk out to take a breather from the mat smells (I need to get my own mat) and just feeling nauseaus from some of the moves, but overall i have been proud of myself for sticking with it and it feels really good after! Look for a Christmas decor post soon! :)

Let me know what you think I'm having....if you even care. haha. (it's my first people, I am excited!) But at least pray that they will be able to tell and that everything will be okay with the baby. I am nervous!

In your Dreams

I have discovered I am EXTREMELY picky when it comes to a baby crib. After a lot of research before I was pregnant and researching these past few months I have found the perfect crib. It's beautiful. (this is all assuming I am having a girl) Im in love. Here it from Pottery Barn. It's name is Darcey. awww..

Heres the catch...

Price tag= $999.00

ummmm, YEAH RIGHT!!!! Keep Dreamin Girl!

so sad...maybe in memory of this beauty I will name my first born daughter Darcey. alas.

Has anyone seen anything like this adorable crib anywhere else? Where can I shop besides Babies R us? I am also struggling with the stoller options. Any advice on stroller buys?
