This whole week my parents have been out of town. They left me, Nate and Erik here with there 4 crazy kids and headed off to Cancun. Well they totally deserve the break so that's fine, but they don't have to rub it in! I keep getting emails and pictures from them on the beach saying that there sun tans say hello to our snow..blah..blah..blah. It's actually really fun to hear how childish they sound, which i think means they are having a blast!
But anyways..the week started off a little rough but has been great since then. On Monday Isaac decided i needed to get initiated into motherhood and threw up in the backseat of the van all over himself and the car while i was driving on I-15 in a blizzard on my way to Nanny. Yeah. I felt so bad for the kid...and myself. It smelt horrible! I quickly called my Aunt and she told me what to do...how to clean it, what to do for Isaac etc. (thanks Shannon!) We finally made it to the family's house and i stripped down Isaac wrapped him in a blanket and took him inside. Then i cleaned his clothes and the car out. It was so gross.
I am sure all the mothers are rolling there eyes at me being dramatic..but he is not even my kid...that is disgusting! Well i did live through it. And now i look back and i am soo proud of myself. But the funny part of the story (although I'm sure some of you already were laughing) was what happened the next day. So i told Isaac that we would watch him and if he threw up again he couldnt go to preschool the next day. Well he never threw up again but the next morning i hear a lot of coughing coming from Isaac's room. I go in and here is our conversation:
me: "are you okay Isaac? Did you throw up more?"
Isa: "No...but i am trying to make myself throw up!"
me: "why?"
Isa: "because i dont want to go to Preschool"
me: "why not?"
Isa: :"because i HATE the letter K! I am so sick of it!"
Hahaha....yeah he has yet to throw up again but has insisted on carrying around a bowl all day "just in case" he is totally milking this!
