We had a great time in Moab with my family. We managed to stay cool and have lots of fun together. We also spent a lot of time at the condo's pool and did a little 4-wheeling.

Moab Utah
What do you do in Moab in the middle of July?
Go souvenir shopping in the "cool" of the evening.
While at the shops torture your baby by trying on some adorable sunglasses on her.
Go swim in a nearby lake

Where the baby can hang out in the shade of the trunk of the car.
Celebrate a pretty cool 13 year old's birthday!
Go on a hike to Arches National Park but get there at 7:00 in the morning! (and still sweat to death!)

I thought it was funny: At the end of the 3 mile hike to delicate arch we were almost back to the car when my little brother Isaac exclaimed "Im soo glad that's over!" I smiled at the people passing us, just beginning there hike and said "have fun!" They laughed...but I think they were a little discouraged. I was surprised we all made it! But it was well worth the view!

And bring one of these pretty sweet baby carrier's for the bubs to enjoy the scenic views!

Feeling Fabulous..again! (feel free to join in late!)
So here we go..I'm impatient, I need to lose this baby weight and I need to do it fast! I also want to try to motivate myself to still accomplish all that I want to do even with a Baby. So...I am doing my own "Feeling Fabulous" challenge again. Remember this one back in January...I LOVED IT! It was soo good for me. So I have modified it for myself and I would like to invite you to join me...I love a good friendly competition! ;)

So wha'da say? Starting THIS Sunday July 25th and going for one Month-until August 25th here's the game:
1. Make a list of 25 Goals. You must have 25. Think of goals that have to do with mind, body, home, spirituality, diet, etc. Realistic goals but challenging too, be honest with yourself! Ideally we would all have the same ones, I realize though that not everyone has the same exact goals, so make your own but some what like mine. (does that make sense?)
Here are a sample of mine:
-Blog/Scrapbook/Journal
2. Put these goals in a chart. If you want the one I made in Excel leave your email in a comment and i will send it to you. Or go off this one HERE
3. At the top of the chart put each day of the week. On the Left hand column put your goals. For each day of the week that you do a goal you get one point. Just make a check mark. So some of my goals are not ones that I necessarily want to do EVERY day, but maybe a few times a week or as often as I can. The idea is just to keep you busy and dedicated. Others I will want to see a check mark every day such as my diet goals and reading my scriptures etc.
4. Total each category each week and make a weekly total. So you could have up to 25 points a day and 175 points a week. (if anyone gets this they die! I mean...they are amazing!)
5. Every Sunday come report your weekly total here on my blog (by leaving a comment back on this post) Then I will announce the weekly winner.
6. At the end of the month I will total everyone's scores and announce the GRAND prize winner. I would love to offer a prize, but I am a poor student people. I would love some suggestions though. I think it will just be fun to compare scores and try to up your scores each week and beat each other. lol.
So come on Ladies!!!! Let me know if your in. (no stalkers secretly doing it...out with it, be proud!) haha! And no pity entries...Erik is doing it with me, so don't worry, I won't be offended if no one wants to do this. I just know I was really glad someone set this up for me back in January and I thought I would throw it out there for others.
Deadline is Sunday...that's when we start. I hope this can help us all to feel more fabulous!
P.S. Please don't think I am going to get that great of a score...in fact it might be shameful, I just had a baby! I am mainly focusing on diet...no sugar! And if you know me at all you will know that this alone will be a GREAT challenge. (and when I say great...i mean awful!) So join even if you think you will only get 20 pts a week...because I will most likely be right there with ya! :)

Lucile's Blessing Day
Lucile Rachael Fox was blessed July 4th 2010 in South Jordan Utah. We decided to bless her in Utah while we were out here on vacation. We dearly missed Erik's family in Virginia, but enjoyed celebrating with many other family members. Lucy's daddy gave her a beautiful blessing. It was such a happy day. We feel so blessed to have this beautiful and joyful baby girl in our family.
The star of the show! She was very cooperative as she got passed around from person to person this day. Erik said that during her blessing she just stared up at him the whole time. How precious!
Some of the greatest friends in the world!

Celebrating the 4th in Style!
We arrived in Utah on the morning of July 1st. While we were still at the airport my Dad tells us that a very kind friend of his gave us tickets to the Stadium of Fire. When I heard the news I thought "oh wow, how fun!" I have always wanted to go and when we were living at BYU we were always cheap losers who stood out in the parking lot just hoping to hear a note or two from singers such as oh I dunno Miley Cryus or let's say The Jonas Brothers...ya know all the greats! ;) So anyway my next question was "so who's performing this year?" (having no idea) And then the glorious reply came...."CARRIE UNDERWOOD!!!!!!" WHAT?!?! Holy Cow! No Way!! I flipped! I didn't care that I was in the airport. I started doing my crazy excited dance and squealing like a little girl! I was siked! Seriously I couldn't have picked a better person to come perfom. I am not a huge concert fan at all but I have always said that the 2 people I would die to see are Rascal Flatts and Carrie Underwood. We checked off the first when last fall Erik took me to see Rascal Flatts and then here just by luck I was going to check off my number 2! AHH! I couldn't wait for Sat. night! So here was our night in reverse order....
The amazing firework show! I have never seen anything like it. It is MUCH better inside the stadium. It was so neat. I loved all the patrotic music they played with it. It really made me reflect on America's greatness and this beautiful country we live in.
The country Diva herself. Ms. Carrie Underwood. Oh she did not dissapoint. She was a GREAT performer!
And she is very beautiful of course! We were on the 4th row of the actually stadium seats. There were some chairs right up by the stage on the grass though. I still thought our view was perfect!
Me and my bro's! (don't mind the fat face)

Thanks to my awesome cousin Lauren who kindly watched Lucy that night for us. We didn't think she would enjoy it very much. Oh funny story- My Dad's friends saw us there before the show started and the man asked "so, are you like going crazy, are you having heart palpatations?" I replied "omgosh yes, I am soo excited for Carrie Underwood!" And he laughed and said "oh I meant about leaving your baby behind!" haha! Wups! I did miss little Lucy and was so happy to see her afterwards...but I knew she was in good hands, and momma couldnt miss Carrie sweetie...sorry!

Cabin Time!
Lucy experienced the cabin first thing when we arrived in Utah. We practically went straight there from the airport. (which by the way-she did pretty well on the plane-thankfully!) We showed Lucy all that there is to do at the cabin.
Daddy took her for a ride on the swings, following a hike to the famous "rock slide."
She even got in on the "time traveling" action and turned into a baby nephite. (our family always has a cabin theme- this year we learned about Nephi's family and the kids acted out the stories)

It seems like there was always at least 3 people crowded around whoever was holding Lucy at the time. I often had to say..."okay everyone back up just a little!" Lucy handled the popularitly quite well!
