Girls Gone Wild!

So pretty last minute I decided to join these fine ladies for a girls night at Kings Dominion. And oh boy these crazy girls don't disappoint! I am so glad I went! I felt 14 again as we literally ran around the park (even getting yelled out by some game attendants) to squeeze in all the awesome rides. I thought to myself I doubt anyone would believe our roundy bunch were actually all responsible Momma's!

We started with the water rapids ride and we are all convinced they were out to get us screaming girls because the water cannons went off more on us than anyone! So needless to say we were a little wet the rest of the evening which after the initial fear of "can you see through my white shorts/ shirt" and "How bad is my hair?" it ending up feeling really refreshing!

We hit up all the greats, which being older I feel like my mom more and more and felt a little sick and shook up after them, and we even made time for the classics such as the swings! It was just the thrill I needed! So if you ever wondered how a bunch of Mormon Mommies let loose after a crazy Monday...now you know! ;)

SORRY THIS IS SO LATE...I know I am a slacker!! (I hope you girls still read it!)

First of all I realized going back (and Tia called me out on it-lol) that I forgot to post the winner 2 weeks ago. So I apologize, Tristan won again! (woo! woo!) And this last weeks individual winner was Bekah, again, so basically these girls rock! :) Good job! But both weeks Sara was the next closest winner that I haven't already spotlighted...so I thought I would spotlight her real quick.

I love Sara! When I think of Sara I think of a really happy and uplifting person. I feel like she would always make me laugh! I love that she is really honest and straight up with people too. I love that you will get "how it is" from Sara. I love her adorable little boys- omgosh they are so cute! I miss my days in Wymount with this lady. She has always been a good listener and someone I loved to talk too!

So...the moment you've all been waiting for (drumroll...) The Grand Total Standings!:

So major congrats to Bekah! You are super woman! I don't know how you do it! So basically you all beat me at my own game! Your all awesome! In fact this challenge wouldn't be complete without me spotlighting the remaining 2 girls who are some of the greatest people I know.

Tia is straight up amazing. Anyone who knows her would agree she is just one of those people who has being a good friend down pat. She is a great listener, she is thoughtful, kind, and tons of fun. She is so quick to see the needs of others and jump in to help. She is also a great crafting buddy! (oh- and I swear she also has some of the cutest kids on the planet!)

Lauren is literally my best friend in the whole world. So even though you didn't finish this challenge missy, I can't help but say a few nice things about you. Lauren is also an awesome friend. She is one of the most understanding, forgiving, and patient people I know. She will love you no matter what. She is a great listener, has a great sense of humor, and is dang smart. I love that I know I can always go to talk to her about anything no matter how long it's been.

3 Mos

Our little Lucy lu is 3 months old! It actually feels like she has been with us for much longer. She grows cuter every day and I swear I love her more each day.

Her appointment isn't for a while (I am a little behind) so I don't know how much she weighs and all that, but here is what i do know.

-that dreaded bald spot is starting to show in the back of her head. I find little hairs in her crib every morning! :(

-But on the flip side her luscious eyelashes are growing in beautifully!

-Her eye color? Still a mystery! Weird, I know! Depending on the light or what she is wearing I have heard blue, green, hazel, and brown. Most of the time I see an outside ring of blue with a hazelish middle. Don't know if that still means they are developing or that's what they will stay.

-She is just barely starting to laugh...and It melts my heart, it's adorable. see video here

-She is EXTREMELY smiley!

-She loves t.v. (don't judge me) The price is right is my 11:00 babysitter!

-She is still a very content and good baby- she can entertain herself for a good 30 min. or so most of the time.

-She will chew on anything! Mainly the most accessible thing- her shirt or blanket. I thought

maybe she was teething already but Dr. Daddy say's he doesn't see it!

-My favorite part of the day is whenever I go get her in the morning or from her naps..she gives me HUGE smiles! She is so happy after some good sleep. (like her momma)

-She has quite the vocal chords. When she is mad she is L-O-U-D! And she will make happy shrieks and shrills that are also SO loud! (and cute)

-She loves riding in the front carrier (facing forward) and going on walks. She is so curious! She looks around at everything! Trees are her favorite.

-She loves it when you sing to her.

-She is just barely being able to sit in her Bumbo. She is still a little unstable though and therefore doesn't love it yet.

-She can roll onto her side.

-she kicks like crazy! see video here

-she is much better at keeping the Binky in her mouth now (hallelujah!)

-She shakes her head back and forth a lot when laying on the ground. see video here

Fox Filled Weekend

Great Grandma Fox came to visit which gave us a great reason to all get together 2 weekends ago. I wish I had gotten a picture with her and Lucy but here's all I got! Lucy with her Grandma Fox

Mindy & Larry came to our place (finally!) It was so fun to meet Johnathan and spend some time with them. We love them so much. The mommies with there babies!

Spotlight on Tristan...

This is a little hard since I have never actually met her, we are just new blogging buddies, but...what I do know is that she has an adorable little boy with an adorable little name. I love that she wasn't afraid to contact me and jump right into this challenge with us. Which means she is very outgoing and confident, which are both awesome qualities. She also seems like a fantastic mother! Way to totally blow us all out of the water this week Tristan! I am really glad you are doing this to keep us all challenged!

Also...what happened to some of you? Amanda, Alyson, Laina?? You still doing this? Late joiners are also still welcome!!!

Fantastic 4

When Erik and I were talking about our anniversary coming up we both said now this is our 5th right? lol. Well after some quick math we realized it has only be 4 years...but I guess it feels like 5 to both of us. (not sure if that's a good or bad thing!) But here's to you hunny and 4 fantastic years!

2 Months...and a half

Man! I got to keep up! Time flies! My baby's second month of life is already half over! In my defense we were on vacation. We just went to the doctor and here are the girls stats!

Weight: 11 lbs 15 ounces (75 percentile)

Height 23 inches (75 percentile)

Head: 16 3/4 inches (90 percentile)

I am enjoying staying home and playing with this sweet little girl everyday. I feel soooo lucky!

Here is what Lucy is up to lately:

-blowing lots of spit bubbles

-drooling (a lot!)

- she kicks her feet like crazy when she gets excited

- she gives us lots of smiles

-she LOVES "talking" to her momma with lots of coo's and other little noises.

-she cries when you set her down, for the first 15 seconds until she realizes she is fine!

- besides that she only cries when she is hungry or tired. she rarely fusses!

- she loves any and all music and singing
-she is starting to be able to grab things with her hands

- she has found her fingers and loves sucking on all of them

- she loves going on walks in her stroller-sitting up of course. She also loves her front carrier, she loves looking around exploring the world.
- she has discovered her animal friends in her crib this week

- she loves to sit in her bouncy chair near her mommy and watch her clean, craft, or organize.

her mommy kinda likes this too-I could do this all day! (oh wait, I do!)

Bekah first of all has 3 BEAUTIFUL children, really, were talking gorgeous. She is a great babysitter (her and her husband "babysat" us for a week when I was like 15), she is a great resource for all my mommy questions. I have always appreciated her advise and words of encouragement, especially in dealing with infertility. She was always so sweet to send me kind notes and be there if I needed someone to talk to. Lastly- her husband introduced me to Ledo's pizza...and I will never go back! yumm yumm! Good Job Bekah!
