Girls Temple Trip

My ward is awesome! They held a fantastic Relief Society Temple Trip last weekend. On Friday night we said "Adios" to the Hubs and kiddos and drove to D.C. to spend the night in a hotel. The car ride was complete with a baggie of treats and a questioner/ convo starter.

Once we got to the Hotel we had a little devotional and then played games and chatted the night away! I think we ended up going to bed around 2am! ha! It was a fun night!
Then we were up at 7 with breakfast baggies brought to our door (man our leaders rock!) Our feet were dragging a bit but we were excited to go to the Temple. It was a great morning in the Temple.
On the way home we stopped for Olive Garden soup, salad, and bread sticks (my favorite)
And of course we had to hit up Ikea where we got a little adventurous and tied a huge wall unit to Paige's car...did we know what we were doing? No way! But we sure strapped that sucker on there! ha! It took us about 30 min, 4 long stripes of twine, and about 20 rookie knots, and a few weird looks...but we made it home alive and with the shelve in tact! ha!
It was an awesome get away with the girls I love! Thanks Innsbrook!

Where's the Baby?

I swear my baby has disappeared this week. Anyone seen my little baby? I don't know what it is but it seriously seems like Lucy grew 3 months this past week. Here are some pictures just barely taken this morning...we did her first little piggy. We tried 2 pigtails and they looked more like horns with the little hair she's got. So for now I think we will stick with one. I am sorry...I have the cutest soon to be 11 month old EVER!

My favorite- this not so baby now has 7 baby teeth!!
While in Utah Lucy learned a trick from Great Grandma Jewkes. You say "BIG GIRL!" and she reaches her arms over her head and makes a "b" sound! So cute!
BIG GIRL!!!

Where has the time gone?

Lucy's other tricks include:
-say "ma ma" and at this point I think she knows thats me
- Say "ba ba" for ball
- Dancing, shaking her booty
- Giving high five
- Say buh bye with a wave (if your lucky)
- she loves throwing the ball with daddy, stacking rings, and putting the shapes in the correct holes. I feel like she is really good with her hands and a smart baby!
-Oh on the less intelligent side- she loves to make this spitting noise especially at dinner time-not so fun.
- When singing "popcorn popping" she will do the popcorn action
- climb up our stairs

No walking or even standing...she is kind of a scardy cat...but thats fine for now.

One Year Older....

and wiser too...well, maybe not! Yes, I am indeed getting older, much to many of my friends doubts. I am the baby around here and I make fun of all the "old" ladies (ages 27-30) and they rightfully so reciprocate the love and ask questions like " is it your 19th birthday this year Nichole?" ba ha ha! But yes, I am aging and this year I got to celebrate the big 2-3....not 1-9. (thank you very much!)
My sweet girl with her gift to me....wonder what's inside...?!
Wahoo!! A Jewkes family favorite. The Encore game. Lu knows her momma is a party animal! Thanks girl! Erik spoiled me with my first ever facial...which ended up being a great story- maybe for another post- none the less it was very thoughtful...thanks Hun! I also got money to print my blog into a book...so excited!
My kind of birthday cake! Birthday Cake Remix at Coldstone= Heaven.
 Make a Wish! :)
I want to thank everyone who made my birthday special! I got a lot of love this year! My amazing friend Emily got a bunch of girls together at the mall to surprise me with a lunch date. It was so nice of her. Thats my favorite, hanging with friends at the mall playground with our babies! I was so surprised! Thanks Emily and all who came! I love those girls! That weekend another bestie took me out to lunch to our favorite..Olive Garden! Love you D! And, Erik and I also went out to eat and had a nice little date. It was a great birthday!

On a slightly unrelated note- Lucy went to her first Birthday party that same weekend (Happy Birthday little Benson!) We had a great time...maybe too good of a time. Lucy came home to give us this...
She was worn out! She was so out of it, throwing her bottle just laying there.
Then I think that birthday cake and ice cream kicked in...
Next she decided to take a few laps around the room- here she took a quick rest...
then from there she took a wicked turn to delirious...
and there was nooo turning back (but at least she rocked her party outfit right?)
And then the crash! She doesn't look tired to you does she? So I only have one question for the Olson's...What in the world was in that cake?  ;)

I think we have another party animal on our hands my friends. I can't wait!
