For Erik:

Here is my Birthday present for Erik. I embroidered his favorite scripture and framed it. This was really simple but nearly brought him to tears when he opened it. He is not much for presents and I never know's what he wants so this is the only thing i thought of and it turned out to be the perfect gift. It really meant a lot to him which made me feel good since i had put a lot of time and effort into it. I love the way it turned out and i love how happy it made Erik. It's nice to have something of a family motto to now hang in our home and remind us what we are striving for.

this is so stinkin' thoughtful and cute - i actually wanted to do something similar for Scott but I just never got around to it. What kind of material did you stitch that on? Do you know where I can get (back) stitching patterns? I am NOT domestic at all, so I would have no idea where to start...eek!
