Summer- Day 1

Our summer break has officially began!
Unlike past summers where we have gone to Utah for 3 weeks this break we will be home a lot.
(besides a trip to Chicago-which we are pumped about)
So,  we have made a bucket list and want to make each day fun.
This will be our last student summer and we want to max out our time with Daddy.

Day one consisted of recovery from Trek. AND getting a new car! wahoo! Larry and Mindy have generously given us their 2002 Mazda Protege. Guess I need to learn stick! We really needed a 2nd car so we feel really blessed.
That evening we had pizza dinner at non other than...Costco. Best dinner ever.

Then AMF allows kids to bowl 2 games a day for free the whole summer.
And if you have a kid who's feet are small enough they don't even have to pay to rent shoes!
So...free bowling? Sweet.
Here is how Lucy's first bowling trip went.
a little unsure at first

Now I get it! This is fun!

We really had to convince her to stick around to actually watch her ball go down the lane.

For sure her favorite part was watching her ball come up the ramp.

So the routine became- carelessly pushing the ball down the ramp then running away jumping on the seat and giving Mom a "high 5". Sweeet. Whatever floats your boat Lu.

Game 2- her score halfway-and then she was done.
It took her about 15 min. to bowl a game and a half.
That's gotta be a record!

But, it was free and family fun!
Can't beat that!

What a way to kick off our summer!
What are your summer bucket list activities?
