Here is the story of that epic night in pictures. To start off I was preparing for a girls lunch date on Monday afternoon. This Saturday night I was expecting a nice romantic dinner with my husband. He did a lot to throw me off. We pulled up to Capital Ale House (a regular place for us) and I thought- "this is our romantic birthday dinner venue?" I was a little bummed. We walked in and Erik said to the hostess "Hi, I'm Erik Fox!" Which I thought was weird. And then she (in on this) told us our table wasn't ready yet and we could go wait in the back game room. I thought this to be odd since NO ONE else was here waiting for tables. But I didn't question and still was not expecting anything. Thanks to Danielle for capturing all these shots!
My friends hiding and awaiting my arrival.
Surprise!!! Dinner date with the girls instead! Sweet!
Hugging all around. So surprised.
Erik telling me he is going to leave- "see ya at home!"
More hugging! So happy and excited!
I did not get why Lara was filming so I kept yelling at her to turn it off! I wouldn't let it go! I was like "turn that off!!" Little did I know the bigger surprise was still to come....
Let the distraction begin. Chatting with me while sneaky Katie in the back is starting the music.
Notice Jackie in the pink dress...it was her due date! She is such an awesome sport to come and shake it for me! It was an awesome sight! I think she was hoping it would induce labor! ;)
More distracting. (keep talking to Nichole)
I think this is when I start to think..."why is there loud music playing all of the sudden?" And wait...are my friends dancing....?
AHHH!! This is a Flash mob! You can tell by the others reactions- I see the dancers now.
Let the uncontrollable laughter begin.
ha ha!
The Girls breaking in down and me still in shock!
"why are more and more friends coming out of the back- where are they coming from?"
Katie did the worm to grab my attention while Erik sneaked back in. It took me forever to realize he was there!
Ahhh!! "what are you doing!!!?"
I can't believe what I am seeing! Erik doing this dance with all my friends...what is going on?
The greatest friends ever.
And the best Husband ever!
I know there were a lot more of you who wanted to come and couldn't thank to everyone who made this possible. I can't believe the planning and the work that went into this. It was aweosme!
We then had a wonderful dinner/dessert and all these girls went in and bought me a laminate machine! Wahooo!
I went home that night and it was fun to talk about it over and over with Erik and Emily. Erik said "I am so happy I can stop lying to you!" There had been a lot of sneaking around the past few weeks! ha! It's fun to look back and unravel all the strange behavior that now makes sense.
Erik and I stayed up so late that night just laughing and I even had him teach me the dance. I wanted to learn it too! ha! My cheeks hurt so bad from smiling and laughing all night long!
Best Birthday Surprise Ever.
