Georgia

My Mom, Gracie and Isaac flew out to Virginia on June 6th. 

I picked them up from the airport and we immediately headed to Georgia. 

(a convenient pit stop to Orlando-right?)  

I cant believe all our luggage for a 10 day trip for 5 of us fit in my car. 

I have never packed so light in my life! 

It was an extremely long day especially for them since they had taken a red eye from SLC stopped in Charlotte NC, then got delayed and finally continued to VA, only for us to then drive through Charlotte NC about 10 hours later. Crazy! 

FYI-if you get off your flight at a layover your returning flight home will be cancelled-so be warned.

The kids did fabulously in the car.

 Lucy didn't sleep a wink and never had one crying fit. It was amazing! 

We were so glad to finally make it to Georgia. 

We stayed with my Dad's sister, Jana, and her husband, Wayne. 

She has a very cute house and is a ton of fun. 

We went to an antique/trade show which was so neat to see. 

We also spent a ton of time at her pool. 

One night we went to my Aunt Becky's and Uncle Gary's house to have a bbq with some of our cousins. It was great to catch up with them and as always we loved exploring Gary's beautifully landscaped yard. 

Isaac is obviously a Utah boy- he got so excited over all the frogs, lizards and even squirrels! 

Unfortunately while trying to catch the outdoor dog who was "running away" into the woods Isaac ran into a wasp nest and got stung about 8 times all over his head. Poor guy, he sure got his fill of southern wildlife! 

Here we are back at Jana's house. 

My mom has a thing for taking pictures in the front of the people's houses that we stay at-strange. 

This picture is terrible but it's the best we got! Lucy had a love/hate relationship with the dog Koda. She would call his name constantly and look for him all around the house but as soon as Koda got too close she took of running and screaming. She still talks about him all the time. 

P.S. so I don't look like a complete jerk- we left Erik behind on this trip because he was going to be gone on dental rotations. That is why we planned the trip in the first place, I needed some company!
